Built in the 1960’s, this Atkinson Rd property remained in it’s almost original state with dated interior spaces which couldn't make the most of the beautiful titirangi bush and exterior surroundings.
The owners vision for the property was to improve the room layouts, add light into the rooms by removing walls and partitions and update to modern day standards. This included adding all-important comforts such as insulation, heating, contemporary joinery and the addition of a larger deck off the new living area; all whilst remaining true to the existing mid-century charm they loved.
When selecting a builder it was incredibly important for us to find a craftsman with an exceptional design eye, attention to detail and the ability to find solutions to design problems we needed to correct.
We were also looking to create a successful collaborative partnership as we really wanted to be involved in the project management process.
